Bliss Center
Overview
Financed from the legacy of Baron Bliss, Belize’s premier benefactor, the Center was constructed in 1853 and underwent major renovations before re-opening in 2004. Part of the building was designed as the prow of a ship. Today, this building houses the administrative offices for the National Institute of Culture and History which, in collaboration with the people of Belize, is dedicated to the safeguarding, promoting, expression, conservation and sustainable development of culture in all its diversity.
