Big Wesley Church

Overview

• The first Wesley Church was builtt in 1829 at a cost of 6,000 pounds and was made of cedar and mahogany. It was destroyed by fire in 1863.
• The second church was built in 1866 entirely of bricks and knows as “Big Wesley”.
• It was said to be the largest and most beautiful church in Central America
• Destroyed during the 1931 huricane
